Anna was raised in upstate New York where she started making jewelry from chestnuts at the early age of 8. She left her rural surroundings for New York City to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology and worked several years on Wall Street.
Anna decided to leave her career to travel and discovered a remote volcanic island in Italy called Salina. While living there for 8 years, she was submerged in Italian culture and breathtaking natural beauty which sparked her creativity. She started creating jewelry using sea glass, obsidian and silver wire and arranged trunk shows in local hotels to sell her work. In order to sharpen her jewelry skills, she studied at the Scuola Orafa Ambrosiano in Milan.
With innovation and integrity, Anna Saulino continues the rich tradition of Italian design and craftsmanship. Her jewelry is created utilizing the techniques such as meticulously hand hammered texture to create bold, elegant, sophisticated designs.
A true artist whose work and life are inextricably interwoven, Anna can be found in her studio in Miami Beach where her jewelry is created and represents the progress she has made since selling her first collection in the boutique hotels of Salina. What has not changed is the passion that informs every element and desire to constantly evolve.
